CPS Plus is a thin co-axial cable that is clipped to the fence structure that can detect all of the typical mechanical disturbances produced during an attempt to cut or climb the fence.
This produces small deformations in the microphonic cable, which, by a piezoelectric effect, generates an electric signal. The analyser processes the electric signal present on the cable continuously and when this signal passes a series of preset thresholds can generate an alarm indication.
The system uses the Multiplex 2000 management system providing comprehensive parameter setting, performance monitoring and alarm interfacing.
The main feature of these types of system is that they are simple to install and unobtrusive, follow the shape and contours of fence lines.
These systems do, usually, require a specific physical barrier such as a wall or fence, although the Taut Wire systems can form their own physical barrier.
It is essential that they work on many different types of structure such as chain link, welded mesh and palisade fencing. The Taut Wire systems must also have a free-standing capability
